The Delaware Population Consortium (DPC) is pleased to continue its program of providing 30-year population and employment projections for the State, the counties, and for selected municipalities. These projections incorporate the latest data and information provided to or generated by DPC members and other agencies at the federal, state, and local level. These data also incorporate the actual births and deaths since 2000, the latest Bureau of Census estimates, and the latest migration data from the IRS.
The 2008 edition of the annual projections series shows an increase, as compared to the 2007 edition, in the total projected state population in 2030. It also shows a slight decrease in the projected 2030 population of New Castle County and slight increases for Kent and Sussex Counties.
