Office of State Planning Coordination

TRAFFIC ANALYSIS ZONE DATA

Traffic Analysis Zones (TAZs) are a unit of geography used in transportation planning by the Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) and Delaware's two Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs).

In Delaware, Traffic Analysis Zones have been created and are maintained by DelDOT and the MPOs in conjunction with the University of Delaware's Center for Applied Demography and Survey Research (CADSR). This page is intended to link users to information about TAZs and to GIS data sets representing TAZs.

New Castle County TAZs

Traffic Analysis Zone data for New Castle County is available from the Wilmington Area Planning Council (WILMAPCO) and includes population and employment estimates and projections. It is available in several forms:

Kent County TAZs

Traffic Analysis Zone data for Kent County is available from the Dover/Kent County MPO on the Office of State Planning Coordination web site.

Sussex County TAZs

Traffic Analysis Zone data for Sussex County is available on the Office of State Planning Coordination web site.
