Delaware Geospatial Metadata Search Added

A simple search widget has been added to the Delaware Spatial Data Catalogue page. The widget, which is in beta testing, was developed by the federal government's Geospatial OneStop (GOS) team to facilitate searching of metadata on the GOS. It has been customized to only search among metadata records that fall within a bounding box around the state of Delaware. DGDC staff will continue working with GOS team to refine the search tool. Users should report any problems to Mike Mahaffie, using the e-mail link on the Data Catalogue page.

The Delaware Geological Survey DataMIL Team Gives DataMIL New Look and New Features (PDF)

The Delaware Geological Survey (DGS) Delaware Data Mapping and Integration Laboratory (DataMIL) team modified and improved the DataMIL web site in several ways to ensure that the Delaware GIS community and the citizens of Delaware can take full advantage of Delaware’s Spatial Data Framework Layers (Aerial Imagery, Boundaries, County Parcels, Elevation, Geographic Names, Surface Cover, Transportation, and Water Features). These important basemap layers are used regularly by state, county, and local agencies as well as by planners, environmental and engineering consultants, developers, realtors, and the public. DataMIL has served Delaware’s framework layers since its release in 2002, and the data are part of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI).
